Joining us today on Total Gym Pulse is fitness trainer and long time Total Gym user Rosalie Brown, to tell us about one of her favorite ways to use coconut oil for cooking. Rosalie loves using coconut oil when preparing popcorn, which she admits is one of her all time favorite snacks.

The way she does this is quite easy: She simply takes a teaspoon of coconut oil and throws it into a pot. Then she adds a few popcorn kernels and heats it up over medium heat. Once the kernels have popped, she adds the rest of the popcorn and allows it to cook until there are a few seconds between pops. With this recipe, you can have delicious and nutritious treat in less than five minutes! The coconut oil will give your popcorn a sweet taste and is a much healthier option than buttered popcorn, microwave popcorn or movie theater popcorn.

Try adding coconut oil to your popcorn!

Some other foods taste great when made with coconut oil are smoothies, fried eggs, toast and tea. Aside from cooking, coconut oil can also be used as shaving lotion, body scrub, makeup remover, massage oil, body moisturizer and sunburn treatment just to name a few!
