After a fun-filled or relaxing vacation, the last thing you want to do is cook. Taking a little time BEFORE your vacation to prepare and freeze a few meals give you a nice hot dinner upon your return!
Comfort foods. Who doesn’t love them?? When it is cold and rainy (or snowy) you crave them for some mysterious reason. One of my husband’s favorites is Shepherd’s Pie, so I decided to come up with a healthy version that is still oh so comforting!
There are so many times during the week where I just don’t feel like or have the extra time to cook a big dinner. I don’t like to get take out since it is usually unhealthy, expensive, or I don’t feel like leaving my house to go get it!! This is the perfect time for stir fry!

Everyone loves comfort foods especially when it is cold outside! Since I am always trying to find ways to make my recipes healthier I came up with a way to make these two recipes taste really delicious and comforting without all the guilt you feel after eating them....let alone having to take a nap after! These recipes are also a great way to sneak more vegetables into your diet. No one will ever know they are eating something healthy either! I hope you enjoy these recipes and share them with your friends.
It’s football season and we all love to gather with friends and family to watch the big game. With that comes the unhealthy snacks. Everyone loves their Buffalo chicken wings, their nachos, and of course their pizza!!! After eating all of that heavy food I just want to take a big ‘ole nap! And to add to that I always feel disgustingly guilty about the food that I ate. So I came up with some healthy versions of the same food. Why not give at least one of them a try at your next game day gathering and see what your friends and family think? They are filling and delicious and best of all they are guilt free!!!
Holiday weight gain is not just from cookies, treats, or eating too much! It’s also contributed to cocktails loaded up with extra sugars in the drink. If you’re mindful of what’s in the food and drinks you intake, you can prevent ingesting any extra - unneeded calories this season. You can have your booze and drink it too but with healthier options. This season, try making ‘healthier’ holiday cocktails that will keep you happy (cheers!) and focused on your health for the new year!
