Being cursed with a wide range of food allergies such as gluten, dairy and grains, finding the best meal replacement protein shakes are sometimes a challenge for me but I am pleased to say that the Total Gym FIT Blast Meal Replacement Protein Powder did not pose any allergy problems for me.

Being allergy friendly, these summer smoothie recipes are perfect for your summer diet and they take you palate on a vacation too. They are very “clean” smoothies and are great replacement meals for weight loss while being jam packed with nutritious vitamins and minerals to energize your body and get you going throughout your busy day.

Data reported in a study published in the Archives of Ophthalmology indicates that eating 3 or more servings of fruit per day may lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), the primary cause of vision loss in older adults, by 36%, compared to persons who consume less than 1.5 servings of fruit daily.

Recipe #1: Figs, Strawberries & Avocado (Ancient Olympic athletes would eat honey and dried figs to enhance their performance)

(Makes 2 shakes)
• 4 fresh organic figs
• 6 fresh organic strawberries
• 1 half of an organic avocado
• 1 cup of low calories almond milk vanilla flavor
• 1 cup of alkaline water
• 1 tablespoon of raw unfiltered coconut oil
• 1-2 scoops of Total Gym FIT Blast Shake
• Ice – optional

Directions:
Cut the fruit in small pieces; pour in the liquids and the coconut oil. Add 1-2 scoops of the Total Gym FIT Blast Shake. Pour the optional ice. Blend for 15-30 sec and enjoy.

Recipe #2: Pineapple, Spinach & Kale

(Makes 2 shakes)
• Fresh or frozen organic pineapple chunks
• Fresh or frozen organic spinach and kale mix leaves
• 1 cup of low calories Almond milk vanilla flavor
• 1 cup of alkaline water
• 1 tablespoon of raw unfiltered coconut oil
• 1 optional tablespoon of organic honey for taste
• 1-2 cups of Total Gym FIT Blast Shake
• Ice – optional

Directions:
Pour in the pineapple, spinach and kale mix leaves. Pour in the liquids and the coconut oil.
Add organic honey to make the shake sweeter. Add 1-2 scoops of the Total Gym FIT Blast Shake. Pour the optional ice. Blend for 15-30 sec and enjoy.

Recipe #3: Figs, Lemon & Honey

(Makes 2 shakes)
• 4 fresh organic figs
• 1/4 cup of fresh organic lemon juice in a bottle or squeeze it yourself from 2 full lemons
• 1 cup of low calories almond milk vanilla flavor
• 1 cup of alkaline water
• 1 tablespoon of raw unfiltered coconut oil
• 1 tablespoon of organic honey for taste
• 1-2 cups of Total Gym FIT Blast Shake
• Ice – optional

Directions:
