AMAZING Leg Workout
Christie Brinkley joins us on Total Gym Pulse once again to show us an amazing leg workout using The Total Gym. A lot of people like to focus on the upper body when it comes to working out but the lower body is a crucial part to any individual’s fitness workout plan. Our legs – like the core support the body but we also use them to get from place to place on a daily basis. It is important that we keep our legs strong.
Christie starts the video by saying there are many things she loves about the Total Gym. Not only can she work her upper body but she can work her lower body as well. It is an amazing way to work the legs but it is also fun according to Brinkley. Christie starts her first leg exercise by pushing her legs off the foot stand of the Total Gym in a quick and easy rhythm. The speed and duration of this exercise can help give you a great aerobic workout in addition to working the legs.
The exercise is fun and you can pretend you’re skiing by moving your knees from side to side as you push off the platform. These types of exercises are great because you are working most of the muscle groups in your legs. Adding leg workouts to your routine will help you burn more fat and improve your mobility and balance as well.
Brinkley then demonstrates how you can transition into one or two legged leg squats. Along with squats, you can also work the calves. Christie says she likes to put her Total Gym in front of a TV because while watching she barely notices that she is exercising. Finally, Christie shows us another leg exercise known as the wide squat. Squats are a great exercise because they just don’t work the legs but the also help work the entire body.
We would like to thank Christie Brinkley for demonstrating some of the unique ways to use the Total Gym. It’s simple exercises like these demonstrated in the video by Brinkley that have kept her looking and feeling so youthful even at the age of 60! Christie proves that age is just a number.
