Are You Fit Enough To Finish The Total Gym Challenge?

The Total Gym Challenge

Are you looking for a dynamic and inspiring way to challenge your body, to reach a higher fitness level, and produce real results?

If you can say “YES!” to this question, then my friend, we have a goal! It’s not about being fit enough, it’s about having the will to commit and accept the challenge for YOU. Everyone will start at a different level of fitness and progress at their own pace. This is the exciting part about accepting a challenge for a set period of time and seeing how your body responds.

The workouts can be modified for any fitness level to accommodate a novice or a more experienced participant. So why not accept a challenge that is beneficial for your health and your fitness goals?

What Is The Total Gym Challenge?

The Total Gym Challenge was created to ultimately produce real results for real people who all were willing to commit to the challenge. The original Total Gym Challenge accommodated 14 people with 14 different fitness goals, performing 14 Total Gym workouts in total. The program included a combination of cardio, strength, and flexibility training. You too can jump on the challenge and surprise yourself of the real results you can accomplish!

How To Begin the Challenge

Beginning a fitness challenge can be overwhelming; however, if you educate yourself prior to beginning the program it can be a simple process. There are many fitness challenges out there that are already designed for you. They typically have a set amount of time for the program, nutritional recommendations to reference, and different workouts to follow each day. Each challenge will have a specific goal focus. For instance, if you want to improve your upper body strength you may choose to do a pull up challenge. Or, you may want a challenge to increase your running speed or distance. Regardless, this is why goals are important in determining the type program to pursue.

The Total Gym Challenge is an excellent program because it provides you with functional workouts that challenge the entire body, burn calories and maximize your time. It provides you with overall strength and conditioning, toning, and muscle definition. It’s also a challenge that can coincide with other fitness programs.

Follow these simple steps to begin the process:

  • Establish your personal fitness goals
  • Commit to a challenge that you will stick to for a period of time
  • Record a baseline (goals, workouts, diet, weight, measurements, pictures)
  • Reassess as you progress

Finding A Baseline

It is so important to determine your initial fitness baseline when beginning this or any fitness challenge. By recording a baseline you will be able to track your progress and see the results you’ve made throughout the program. I also suggest taking before and after pictures so you can visually see the results!

As the program progresses, the results you recorded can be compared to the previous weeks. Tracking your progress is motivating and rewarding. It allows you to see what you have accomplished, how your body has adapted and changed, and how you have felt along the process! So be sure to record your initial baseline when you take on the challenge!

The Winning Combination

Fitness challenges and incentive programs are excellent ways to stay motivated and achieve a desired goal. However, exercise alone is not enough to get the ‘best’ outcome over a period of time. The winning combination is achieving a balanced plan that includes exercise, a healthy diet, proper hydration, and rest. This combination is the best way to achieve your goals over a set period of time.

Share The Challenge

Motivation comes from within as well as from influences from others. If you set your goal(s) and accepted the challenge, why not share your experience in the process? This is a great way to keep yourself accountable and follow through with the plan. It’s also a great way to encourage others to jump on board and try the challenge, too!

It’s easier to relate to others when they are experiencing similar challenges. Sharing thoughts, struggles, or positive words are real emotions, which creates a bond with others experiencing similar obstacles. Help yourself and others stay motivated with a support system by posting/sharing your experiences. Tag it with #TotalGymChallenge.

Have fun with it and appreciate your hard work and effort. Remember, you can accomplish all you set out to do if you put your mind to it!

Good luck in beginning the challenge!

  1. Too bad the challenge did not run earlier! I got the Total Gym (Premiere) in February, and over the last 5 months, I have kept up a daily regimen of exercise (combination of Total Gym exercises, cardio on elliptical as well as other weights). I am proud to say that I have lost 30 lbs since I started (weighed 207 at the end of January 2015), and am now down to 175 lbs (a pound or two fluctuating at this level). Of course I also maintain a closer control over my nutrition, and allowed myself the occasional treat but my usual breakfast and lunch meals are pretty tight. And best of all, I love the workouts and the sweat! Thanks Total Gym.

  2. I have been using the Total Gym for over 19 years. I started using it after I suffered a serious physical setback and I have never stopped. I have surpassed all physical obstacles with flying colors and I give all the credit to my attitude, my discipline and of course, the Total Gym. Every time I finish a challenge, I start another one. Thank you Total Gym.
