How To Get Sexy Abs
With the Summer now here many are wondering how to get sexy abs so they can show off their new swim suits in style. Joining us today on Total Gym Pulse is Fitness America National Champion, fitness model and entrepreneur Sherry Goggin here to show us some incredible exercises to get sexy abs using The Total Gym.
Sherry starts the workout by sitting on the board of the Total Gym and grabs ahold of both cables. From there she leans back and begins a crunching motion very similar to a sit up. When doing these crunches be sure to squeeze your abdominals to not only work your abs but rather your overall core.
Next, Sherry transitions to what she calls a “Twister” which focuses on the obliques. She positions herself by still sitting and turning sideways facing out on the Total Gym. Bring your hands together with both cables and move your arms across your body creating the twisting motion. Be sure to work both sides of your obliques and again, tighten your core for maximum results.
Finally, Sherry ends the workout by moving into an overhead ab crunch. She does this by lying on her back low to the base of the Total Gym with her feet up. She keeps her arms are out straight and pulls forward squeezing her abdominal muscles again creating a crunching like motion.
Having sexy abs can not only look aesthetically pleasing but they are also very important to one’s overall physical fitness. Abdominal muscles are key contributors to one’s balance, posture and can help prevent lower back injuries. In addition, having a strong set of abs help one transfer power throughout their body. This especially is beneficial to athletes who are using their entire body to lift or throw something.
