MOVE with Christie Brinkley!

Move with Christie Brinkley is her latest Total Gym video for Total Gym Pulse. Christie recently celebrated her 60th birthday in style by being on the cover of People Magazine and was also featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit “50 Years of Beautiful”. These incredible honors for Brinkley but the fact that she is in such phenomenal shape and looks so young has people wondering, “How on Earth does she stay so young?” Well as you find out, it’s no magic potion that keeps Christie looking so great – she credits the Total Gym along with an active lifestyle.

Christie says when people ask her “What do you do to keep you looking so young?” she simply gives them a smile and tells them “It’s all about moving.” Movement is extremely important to Brinkley and working out on her Total Gym is one of the best ways she’s been able to stay in shape. It’s easy to use as it is conveniently set up in her home giving her access to a workout at any time of the day or night. She mentions how she will even set up The Total Gym in front of the TV and will “glide” from one exercise to the next as she watches tv. Christie says The Total Gym is great because you can work every part of the body. She concludes the video by stating that Total Gym put the “Happy” in her “Happy Birthday.”

Here’s some more information on the importance of moving to feel young and stay fit.

Avoid Sitting For Long Periods of Time. Studies have shown that long periods of sitting can indeed be a detriment to your overall physical health as it can increase your chance for diabetes, cardiovascular disease and kidney disease. This gets more important the older we get. Stay actively moving even if it’s doing the simplest everyday tasks. Instead of sitting in front of the TV all day, try listening to more podcasts and audio books which will keep you entertained while you workout or walk or as you are doing your everyday tasks.

Get Involved. A lot of times people sit around doing nothing because they have nothing to do. Find activities you like and do them by yourself or find groups of people who have the same interests as you and do the activities with them. This can be anything from hiking, to tennis to anything you can imagine – just as long as you’re MOVING.

Stay Motivated. If you are having trouble staying motivated to keep moving throughout the day just remember the benefits. Use people such as Christie for motivation. People like Brinkley look and feel as youthful as they do because they are constantly working to improve themselves not only physically but in all areas of their life.
No matter what age you are, moving is important.
