It’s Peanut Butter and Jelly FIT BLAST Shake Time!

Total Gym FIT BLAST PB&J Shake video

Think back to when you were just a little kid. What was your favorite sandwich? If you’re like me, it was probably a good ol’ fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And on special occasions, adding a sliced banana to the sandwich would make it that much more special. This became popular as it was one of Elvis Presley’s favorite indulgences. So, how about we get childlike and add these wonderful mix of flavors to the best protein shake powder on the market.

Before I get into the recipe, let’s discuss the benefits of a healthy meal replacement like the FIT BLAST shake:

It’s perfect for weight loss. Summer is here and it’s time to get lean. The Total Gym FIT BLAST shakes will keep you satiated and save you calories. Why? Because with each scoop, there are 17 grams of protein and only one gram of fat.
It’s simple to make, convenient and will save you time. It is also cost effective compared to trying to fill yourself up with protein from other sources, like meat.
The Total Gym FIT BLAST meal replacement is super healthy. Unlike other shake powders which basically only provide protein, the FIT BLAST formula also provides you with 24 essential vitamins and minerals – almost all of them clocking in at 50% of the recommended dietary allowance!

The vanilla flavor is great but I always like to mix mine up a bit so let’s get to the recipe.

PB&J with an added B! Taste buds, get ready to party!

Liquids

Remember, with each scoop of FIT BLAST you need about 8 ounces of liquid. It can be water, milk, or my favorite, Silk Almond Milk. It contains only 30 calories per 8 ounces and adds a healthy dose of Calcium, vitamin A, vitamin D and vitamin E.

Protein

I make my smoothies with two scoops of FIT BLAST, which gives me 34 grams of protein and 100% RDA of all the goodies. I drink half the shake in the morning, (yes, it’s that filling which is great for weight loss!) and I drink the other half after my mid-afternoon workout to refuel my taxed muscles.

Peanut Butter

Yummy! I love the good ol’ fashioned kind but to be even healthier I add raw almond butter! Almond butter is great because of its lack of carbs and its abundance of protein and healthy fat. It’s also a great source of fiber. Many of us are not getting the amount of fiber we need and one serving of almond butter gives us just over three grams of fiber which is about 13% of what the FDA recommends on a daily basis.

Jelly

While grape was the choice back in the day, I’ve come to love blueberry jelly! It’s not only flavorful but are chock-full of antioxidants and helps with memory! I throw in a pint of the jelly and they can either be fresh or frozen.

Banana

These tasty guys provide a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin C and B-6.

I promise you: This shake is truly tasty! When you’re doing resistance training on your Total Gym and taxing your muscles, you need to feed those muscles protein to get the full benefits of your efforts. The Total Gym FIT BLAST is the perfect way to ensure you get the maximum results from your workout!
