Total Gym for All Ages

Hi everyone! My name is Kim Kenney and I am 53 years old. I have previously posted a Total Gym Bio about myself and I had mentioned that my mom, Sue Kenney, is my inspiration for not only wanting to be but to stay physically fit for my entire life. In September of this year, she turned 89 years old. One of my earliest memories is my Mom exercising along with Jack LaLanne on TV first thing every morning. For those of you who don’t know Jack LaLanne, he was a nutrition and fitness guru who lived an active 97 years. In the 1950’s and 60’s, he had a daily early morning exercise program on television. I can remember standing along side of my Mom in the living room mimicking the exercises her and Jack would be doing. When I was in my early 20’s I would exercise to video tapes and my Mom would be right alongside of me!

My Mom was born in Japan and she told me that exercise is a very important part of the Japanese culture. As children they would have to wake up early every day and go with their parents to do their exercise sessions at the schools, parks, place of employment, etc. Even during summer vacation! She said she hated to get up to go, but they had no choice. It was just something that everyone did and there was no argument about it! That certainly carried through her entire life and now at 89 she still never misses a day of exercise!

My parents both live in Virginia now and my 88-year-old Dad goes to their club and plays ping pong with the guys (he beats men decades younger than him!) and my Mom attends various gym classes 5 days a week. On the days that there is no gym class, she still exercises at home and uses a Total Gym that I purchased for their house. I visit them for two weeks at a time a few times a year and I can’t bear to be without my Total Gym for that long. Little did I know; my Mom would use it too!! She was a “natural” the first time she used it! We are so happy when we get to work out together. It’s a lot of fun and I get to show her new moves that she can do when she is by herself.

I truly believe that exercise is the fountain of youth! Of course, a good diet is a big part of staying healthy too but if you don’t keep your body moving, your muscles from shrinking, and your heart strong from exercise, you won’t age as gracefully as my Mom, my superhero! This just proves that the Total Gym will keep you active no matter how

old you are! And it’s a lot of fun! Just ask my Mom!!

  1. That’s what I love about the Total Gym, anyone of any age can use it! Your mom rocks!

  2. I’ve been thinking about purchasing a Total Gym in hopes that it could aid in my husband’s recovery. He recently had surgery and is now in the rehabilitation stage of his recovery. We are looking for a convenient way for him to get the daily workout needed to promote and add to his recovery in the comfort of our home. Due to the gravity of his illness and condition after the surgery trips to the local YMCA is currently not an option. Due to the fact his immune system is feeble, and he could get sick very easy. The Total Gym sounds like the ideal product. After viewing the infomercial along with my husband, we both came to the decision that the Total Gym might just be what we need. If someone knows of any other reasons its product would be helpful in his recovery or know of any other product, please feel free to leave a comment. Thanks, for reading
