Winter Wonderland Workout that Mimics Your Total Gym

Baby it’s cold outside… but it can be a perfect place to workout and heat up your muscles as well as have some good old fun in the snow!

If you reside in a chilly place where there is snow or even an ice pond… it’s a perfect opportunity to bundle up and take your workout outside! It’s also a fun activity for the whole family! So for those of you who like to partake in cold weather activities, like playing in the snow, then this workout routine is especially for you!

The exercises in this circuit are intended to be performed outside in the snow or on a slippery (but safe) surface that will mimic exercises you can also do on your total gym!

So bundle up, get outside, even take the family out with you, and get ready to heat up those muscles with these bodyweight exercises!

Directions:
•perform each exercise for 10 reps / side with little to no rest between movements
•repeat as many rounds as your time permits or until you have had enough of the cold and need to warm up with hot coco!
•most importantly, have the best fitness fun!

Additional Tips:
•sometimes the snow doesn’t always cooperate, especially if it’s a wet snow. So I suggest using a sled or a disc that easily slides when on the snowy surface. This can be a useful tool when playing in the snow!

Total Gym Style: The cold is cold! So if you’re one who prefers to stay indoors for your workouts, just hop on your Total Gym and perform the same routine using your glide board with a low incline setting.

• Lateral Lunges
• Lateral Lunge Circles
• Knee tucks
• Pike Ups
• Plank Arcs
• Plank Snow Angels
• Mountain Climbers

Be sure to check out the video to see a demonstration of how these exercises are performed.

Keep those muscles warm and have fun being active in the snow!

Wishing you a Happy Holiday Season,
