Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What is Total Gym FIT Anniversary Edition?
The FIT Anniversary Edition is a limited-edition upgrade to the standard Total Gym FIT. It expands the machine to 14 resistance levels and 100+ exercises, enlarges the squat platform, adds separate bars for press-ups and dips, and includes a device holder.
Is Total Gym FIT Anniversary Edition a good home gym?
The FIT Anniversary Edition is a highly capable all-in-one home gym for users who want more exercise variety and included attachments than the regular FIT; as well as, a denser steel frame than the APEX. Its 450-pound weight capacity, 14 resistance settings and upper body system make it particularly useful for multi-user households.
How do the 14 resistance levels work on the FIT Anniversary Edition?
The 14 level settings change the rail incline and the percentage of bodyweight used for resistance. Compared with the standard FIT’s 12 levels, the FIT Anniversary Edition provides two additional increments for more precise adjustments between easier and harder workloads.
Is Total Gym FIT Anniversary Edition worth it?
Its value depends on whether the upgraded package replaces accessories you would otherwise buy separately. An oversized squat platform, dedicated upper body system, device holder, 14 incline settings and 100+ movements make it more complete than the regular FIT, but availability and price should be checked before comparing total cost.
What is the difference between the regular Total Gym FIT and Anniversary Edition?
The standard FIT has 12 resistance levels, 85+ exercises and a standard ribbed squat stand. The Anniversary Edition increases that to 14 levels and 100+ exercises, then adds an oversized squat platform, bars for press-ups and dips and device viewing support. Both support up to a 450-pound weight capacity.
What accessories come with Total Gym FIT Anniversary Edition?
Included equipment consists of an AbCrunch, rope leg pulley with two ankle cuffs, extra-large squat stand, upper body system with press-up and dip bars, wing attachment, training deck with device holder, exercise wall chart and nutrition guide. A phone or tablet is not included.
How many exercises can you do on the FIT Anniversary Edition?
The FIT Anniversary Edition supports more than 100 exercises. Its expanded count reflects the standard cable and glideboard movements plus variations made possible by the larger squat stand, AbCrunch, leg pulley, wing attachment, press-up bars and dip bars.
What is the FIT Anniversary Edition weight capacity?
The FIT Anniversary Edition is rated for up to a 450-pound weight capacity. That weight capacity matches the standard FIT.
Does the FIT Anniversary Edition require assembly?
No frame assembly is required; the Anniversary Edition arrives preassembled. Set-up involves unpacking the stored attachments, inserting the extra-large squat stand, standing up the folded gym and opening the rails (lowering to the floor), locking the vertical column in place with the black knob pin and securing the desired incline with the color height adjustment knob and safety pins.
How do you set up the FIT Anniversary Edition?
Stand the folded machine upright, remove accessories from beneath the glideboard and extend the rails under control to the floor. Raise the vertical column until it locks in place, select one of the 14 incline settings, insert the safety hitch pins and follow the training card deck to begin working out (attach the accessory called for by the specific exercise and remove the accessory when not in use).
How do you fold and store the FIT Anniversary Edition?
Take off the squat stand, upper body system attachments and any other accessories. Pull out the color height adjustment knob pin and carefully lower the rails to the floor. Then holding the vertical column, pull out the black knob pin to fold column down. Lastly, lift and stand the gym up starting from the center hinge point where the upper rails and lower glideboard rails meet (keeping fingers clear of pinch points) and slowly fold the 66-pound gym frame together completely. Keep the folded machine on a stable surface away from children and traffic paths.
Does the FIT Anniversary Edition include press-up and dip bars?
Yes. Its upper body system includes both press-up bars and dip bars. These attachments create more stable hand positions for pressing and dipping exercise variations and are a key difference from the standard FIT package.
Can you add weights to the FIT Anniversary Edition?
Yes. The FIT Anniversary Edition is Total Gym Weight Bar compatible, but sold separately. Purchase on Total Gym's dedicated accessories page, and use your own provided weight plates for added resistance. Use Total Gym Weight Bar Clips for safe use and follow the Weight Bar’s loading instructions: User bodyweight plus additional weight must not exceed the maximum weight capacity of your Total Gym model. Add weights equally and evenly to both sides of the bar. Max additional weight is 90 lbs. per side (i.e. if you have a unit that has a 300 lb. max weight limit and the user weighs 200 lbs. the max weight that can be added on each side is 50 lbs.). Your bodyweight and added weight plates cannot exceed the machine’s 450-pound weight limit.
What warranty comes with the FIT Anniversary Edition?
The FIT Anniversary Edition carries a lifetime warranty on the frame and a two-year warranty on parts. Keep proof of purchase and review the warranty terms for exclusions, claim procedures and coverage differences for unauthorized or secondhand purchases.
