- Remove lid. Remove tape from box corners to flatten.
- Remove all visible packaging & accessories.
- Lift gym by rails, roll off the box, & stand gym up as shown.
- Using two hands, extend rails out & lower gym to the floor.
- Pullout black knob pin & lift the column until it locks in place.
- Squeeze height adjustment handle & lift rails to the desired incline level. Insert safety hitch pins.

Evove upgrade
I love the Total Gym Evove. I upgraded from the XLS. This is a much sturdier total gym.
Shipping was quick; I unfortunately received a damaged glide board and the replacement was made quickly. I love the fact that the Glide board can be level for some exercises and the Glide distance is further so I never run into the top when I’m doing my leg exercises.
I highly recommend this gym.

Great Home Gym Addition
The Total Gym Evolve is an amazing piece of gym equipment. I am able to get a full body workout in without the fuss of having to change multiple weights, jump to different machines or wait in line.

how much free weight can I add to the Evolve with the weight bar?
Can I do Pilates on the Evolve?
I don’t see why not, I don’t do Pilates but if you have the right accessories should be no problem.

The Evolve does not have a rowing option as far as I know.

I am 75 and have a 2BR condo, 2nd BR being a multi use room (Office w/ wall Murphy bed) will need to stow the gym against the wall after each use. Evolve @ 100 pounds I am wondering how difficult it will be setting up and stowing? Does it have rollers?
Hi there,
I'm 77 and I purchased the Evolve to replace and older model Total Gym. My wife and i love the machine. We do not take it down and set it up each use, but it is infinitely easier than the old unit was. It is heavy, but it does have rollers that work very well. We think that as you use the unit you will become more familiar with it and the setup/take down will get easier (plus you should be getting stronger from using it). It is not a small machine the weight makes it very stable and a pleasure to use. Hope that helps.

Are the metal components on the Evolve also constructed out of thin metal like the XLS? The XLS creaks a lot where the pulleys bolt up & where that chrome part secures to the black vertical piece when in use. Am concerned about metal fatigue and failures.
I havent noticed anything like you described. I have to say the machine is much smoother and sturdier then the 2 previous machines I have owned.

What is the maximum percentage of bodyweight resistance at the highest incline setting of the Evolve? Can the glide board be set to be level at the highest incline setting?
What are the dimensions when fully assembled and when folded down for storage?
I keep mines unfolded at close to 100” from the tower to the foot pad and 3 feet of space from each side to get on and off with the switching of exercises. Dimensions (Unfolded): 17″ W x 97″ L x 45″ H
