This weight bar easily slides through the glide bar of your Total Gym to increase your workload by allowing additional weight to be added. Includes 2 Safety Weight Bar Clips. *Weights not included.

Note: User weight plus additional weight must not exceed the maximum user weight of your Total Gym unit. Add weights equally and evenly to both sides of the weight bar. Max additional weight is 90 lbs. per side. i.e. if you have a unit that has a 300 lb. max user weight and the user weighs 200 lbs. the max weight that can be added on each side is 50 lbs.

Great Addition to the Glideboard
The bar is a great addition to the glide board. Being able to use weights at the lower inclines allows me to work on form while building muscle and ideal for squats at the higher inclines. My weightlifting experience would benefit from a bar that could accommodate more weight.

Weight bar clip way too tight
One of the weight bar clips was so much tighter than the other I had to force it on the bar and still doesn’t want to open properly. The other works just fine.

Use the weight bar to smooth level changes
BAR is way smoother than black iron pipe as some people suggest using for weights on the total gym is also smoother. Length on mine in 30.5 inch including the plastic plugs. only issue I have is the plastic plugs get knocked out frequently as I change the weight often between exercises. I have an XLS with only 6 levels. Am using the weight bar and weights to increase resistance up to the next level on slow installment method. At 66 years old I am having trouble moving up a full click on the post at a time. Using this bar and weights I can tune the resistance increase by the LB. Works very well.

Not the best, but works
I used a 3/4 pipe on my Old Total Gymn … I just secured it with two hose clamp under wheel assembly. It is a good idea and really helps your workout. Should have been included with XLS parckage.

Should come with the weight bar purchase
They should’ve came with the weight bar that I purchased, I don’t believe that these should be an extra purchase because you need them for the weight bar.

The weights you can add to the bar are standard size. I made the mistake of purchasing Olympic style weights, but was able to exchange them for the standard.

Thanks for your question. We have two options – a weight bar by itself and a weight bar with clips combo. It depends which one you ordered.
